President's Greeting
It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you to The 20th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association of Cardiovascular Intervention and Therapeutics (CVIT2011).
The Osaka University Advanced Cardiovascular Therapeutics to which I belong was established in 2006. The establishment purpose is clinical research and educational practice, which is specialized in cardiovascular intervention therapeutics. The year of 2011 is the fifth anniversary of the establishment. In the same year, it is the very great honor for me to serve as a chairman of this historical scientific meeting of CVIT2011, and at the same time, I am fully aware of the heavy responsibility that comes with it, also because I will be asked for the achievement at the Osaka University Advanced Cardiovascular Therapeutics.
The meeting of CVIT2011 will be held at Osaka International Convention Center and Rihga Royal Hotel on Thursday, July 21 through Sunday, July 24, 2011. The main theme will be “Toward greater knowledge, skills, and technology”. We will offer a wide range of knowledge, which attains to skills and technology from the interventional evidence. We will also offer the information of new medical equipment, which aims at further improving interventional results and adaptation in all cardiovascular diseases. I am sure that the participants can learn interventional skills and technology from our live demonstration. In accordance with this aim, we will plan symposium, keynote lectures, special lectures from overseas, and special programs. For the Call for Papers, the application from a lot of doctors, nurses, technicians, and companies, from the CVIT members down, are expected. Moreover, a live demonstration from Osaka University is planned. I am looking forward to much of your participation in the scientific meeting held in Osaka, the capital of water, in the early summer.
